We started painting calligraphy in oil because a client asked us a question we couldn't answer: "Why does Islamic calligraphy always look the same?" He was right. Gold on black. Ink on paper. Beautiful — but predictable. Oil paint changed everything. The first time we laid a loaded brush onto canvas and pulled a thick Thuluth stroke, the letter had weight. It had shadow. It had a physical presence that ink on paper never has. The emerald and ivory palette was inspired by the interior of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah — those greens and whites that millions of people associate with peace and spiritual homecoming. We wanted to bring that same feeling into a living room. Not as a replica, but as an echo — a piece that carries the same emotional colour without imitating the architecture.
